In the busy lead up to Christmas, 123 visitors joined with their friends in a refined High Tea at the Museum. Four sessions were run over the weekend, with different sized tables spread thoughout the Museum rooms.
Orange juice and sparkling wine enlivened the taste buds. Platters of hot finger food and fresh sandwich quarters followed along with tea from the pot or plunger coffee. Small slices and cakes, topped with Christmas cake, appeared in a three tier platter, accompanied by a plate of scones, jam and cream.
The atmosphere was promoted by 'Muriel', who visited each table to welcome guests, check on progress and deliver mints with a lucky number for a door prize.
Many people took this last opportunity to purchase craft from the Gift Shop for Christmas gifts.
