This year's SCHOOL HOLIDAY EVENT celebrated the 'teddy'.
Children could bring their own for an outing or borrow one of ours while they visited the hundreds of teddies throughout the Museum.
Visitors had to solve rhymes as they met teddies going about their business. They also met famous teddies and their stories. Paddington Bear (60 this year) was featured and children could try on hat, jacket and boots.
Hands-on activities included making a teddy from a paper cup. A giant teddy in the main meeting room was happy to pose for photographs with visitors.
A lucky few were able to purchase a beary special gift in the 'silent auction'.
On Sunday (our normal 'Heritage on Sunday' day), most also visited our blacksmith, Fred, demonstrating his trade with Brian.
Over 300 people visited.
