The Museum grounds provide a tranquil and secluded setting for informal weddings and wedding photography.

We welcome bridal parties on their special day to use this wonderful area for their wedding ceremony.

Smaller parties may wish to have their ceremony in the main room in the Museum - limit 40 people standing.

You are welcome to have snacks in the garden with tea/coffee - perhaps while the bridal party is busy with photographs.

For your formal wedding breakfast/reception, there are two hotels and two restaurants within short walking distance.

Please come along during a regular Museum opening on the third Sunday of the month 1:00 - 4:00 pm, or visit while volunteers perform maintenance on a (non public holiday) Monday 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. You may book a specific visit outside these times, at the standard hourly rate.

- Use of confetti in and around the buildings is not permitted. Rose petals may be used on grassed areas.

- No decorations are to be attached to the outside of the buildings.

- Children must be supervised at all times. Some outside exhibits are not child friendly.

The volunteers at the Museum hope that your wedding day is a joyful and memorable event.
